DONT be deceived by size of fragment

As for all finger injuries look closely for rotational deformity

Consider ORIF

Fragment best seen on oblique view

Giant cell tumour

Juxta articular, Metaphysis into epiphysis

50% around the knee

Lateral condyle fracture (Elbow)

Dont be deceived by small fragment

This is a significant injury

Metaphyseal radial fracture

Notice dorsal remodeling

This displaced in cast. Why?

This is why you x ray complete metaphyseal fractures weekly for 3 weeks.

This is complete, ie different from a greenstick fracture

Osteopoikilosis

Rare

Multiple, small, ovoid sclerotic areas, widely distributed

Normally asymptomatic

This patient presented with 3rd metatarsal fracture

Trans scaphoid, perilunar dislocation

Notice the lunate is empty

Capitate is not in the cup
