Classification of physeal injuries

Salter-Harris

I - Through the physis but not through the epiphysis or metaphysis

II - Through the physis and the metaphysis (commonest)

III - Through the physis and the epiphysis

IV - Oblique fracture across the metaphysis, physis, and epiphysis

V -  Vertical compression to the physis.
